Course content:

Deep Tissue Massage Principles: Overview of the technique’s goals, how it differs from other massage types, and appropriate applications.

Anatomy Basics: Introduction to muscle layers and structures commonly targeted in deep tissue work.

Technique Demonstration and Practice: Application of slow strokes and deep pressure with guidance from the instructor.

Posture and Body Mechanics: Instruction on how to deliver pressure using correct body alignment to reduce strain and improve effectiveness.

Client Interaction and Safety: Identifying contraindications, adapting techniques to client needs, and ensuring safe practice.

Who can attend?
Students are required to have a basic massage certificate or have completed the Certificate in Swedish Massage Therapy before being accepted onto this course.
Cost: £249 (group training) | £299 (one-to-one training)
Duration: 1 Day, 9am-4pm (7 hours, including 30 minute lunch break)

Certification: An ABT accredited Certificate of Completion of Deep Tissue Massage will be awarded at the end of the course.
